It is also one of the best all-round wildlife destinations in the world for a mix of big game and varied landscapes, with a very good tourism infrastructure.
On this itinerary you can view some of India's iconic species: including the Asian elephants, Bengal and Indochinese Tigers, Asiatic lions, Indian leopards, Indian sloth bear and Indian rhinoceros. Some other well-known large Indian mammals are: ungulates such as the rare wild Asian water buffalo, common domestic Asian water buffalo, gail, gaur, and several species of deer and antelope. Some members of the dog family, such as the Indian wolf, Bengal fox and golden jackal, and the dhole or wild dogs are also widely distributed.
