This 11 night itinerary combines Ecuador’s flora and fauna rich Galapagos with the craggy peaks of the Andes. The itinerary begins with two nights in Quito, Ecuador’s busy capital, and a contrast of old and new world. It is surrounded by looming volcanoes and the tranquil peaks of the Andes, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As you acclimate to the city’s elevation of 9,350 feet, you can enjoy this mecca for lovers of culture, adventure and culinary delights, as you stretch your legs during a three hour walking tour.
The adventure continues as you travel to Ecuador's famed island, the Galapagos for 7 nights, spending time on the sea and the land. You'll first enjoy 3 nights aboard the M/S Ocean Spray, your base for exploring the Santa Cristobel and Floreana Islands. You'll spend a further 4 nights split between Finch Bay on Santa Cruz Island and Iguana Crossing on Isabela Island. Enjoy activities or relax and enjoy the spectacular views.
Highlights include the land and marine iguana, flamingos, blue footed boobies, sea lions and the giant tortoises as you enjoy hiking, swimming and snorkeling.
Your itinerary concludes with a final 2 nights in Otavalo, famed for its large indiginous market. In addition to a market visit on your final morning, you'll enjoy hiking through this stunningly beautiful region, with sparkling blue lakes and the dramatic peaks of the Andes.
