Western Zambia - Before The Rains

Western Zambia is largely untraveled even by the most experienced safari enthusiasts and yet flying west from Lusaka there are two of Zambia’s greatest and most wildlife diverse national Park areas.

The Kafue is home to possibly the most diverse collection of wildlife species of any African park recently re emerging as a key safari destination for any Zambia safari. The Liuwa Plains, an equally incredible wildlife habitat and a story of conservation success where Hyena are the Apex predator and home to Africas 2nd largest Wildebeest Migration.

Remote, wild and with virtually no other visitors in both parks having the bush to yourselves is a rare and special privilege.

We have created two safaris which encompass these two unique and contrasting area in one seamlessly planned flying safari safari.

This safari combines the award winning Jeffery & McKeith Safaris Musekese Camp in the Kafue and at the new King Lewanika Camp, each perfectly positioned in key areas to make the most of game concentrations and movements.


Our guests will be guided by some of Africa’s most highly regarded wildlife guides for who the conservation of wildlife in Liuwa and the Kafue is paramount, and their ability to bring the parks alive with an incredible depth of knowledge and bush skills only matched by their sheer passion for there respective homes in the bush.

Arranged at just two key times of the year (Dates : May, June, July & mid Oct to the end Nov) when all of the key elements to make a great Western Zambia safari come together. We will take you from the Woodland, Rivers and Plains of the Kafue at the most exciting time of year to the drying flood plains of Liuwa.
