Introduction

The Masters Series:  CANADIAN POLAR BEAR & BIRDING SAFARI

If birds and polar bears are what you want to see, Keltie and I highly recommend this Canadian wildlife safari organized by Christine Boecker of TravelBoecker Adventures. Christine was instrumental in organizing our Grizzly Bear Photo Safari into the Chilko area of British Columbia, and it truly was a trip of a lifetime for everyone! No detail was left to ponder, and Christine created a stress-free memorable experience for us all!

On this Bears n Birds Safari - available in July and August - you will actually walk with polar bears, go beluga whale watching by zodiac or kayak and look for other Arctic wildlife, as well as a variety of migratory and shore birds.

During this 8 day/7 night trip from Winnipeg to the Hudson Bay, you will be based at a lodge near the Seal River Estuary, located 60km north of Churchill, Manitoba.  The fenced-in compound, viewing platforms and tower lend themselves to unique photography opportunities as wildlife approach to check out the sights, sounds and smells of the lodge.  Daily excursions are lead by resident naturalist guides, who know the area like the back of their hand. They will share their expert knowledge and stories and take you into the heart of polar bear territory, so you’ll be in the right place at the right time – all while minimizing your impact on the environment.

Sustainability is a both a driving principle and a necessity at the lodge, which was built using mostly local lumber and recycled materials. Solar power supplies most energy. Food waste is composted, and all non-recyclable trash is flown to Churchill to be disposed of properly.  Emphasis is on leaving a light footprint: instead of using enclosed tundra vehicles, guests walk with the wildlife on most outings at the lodge.

One thing is for sure – all of our future trips will be booked through Christine, safari specialist at TravelBoecker Adventures, as she goes above and beyond for an unforgettable experience that Keltie and I are proud to endorse! - Stan Masters

Let the thrill of a wildlife safari and the experience of the unknown create life-long memories that will change you forever!  To join this great adventure get in touch with Safari Specialist, Christine Boecker on 1877 739 3653 or chris@travelboecker.com
