This exciting Tamarind canoe safari takes place on the Lower Zambezi River. Only you limit the amount of adventure you will enjoy! We'll depart with a minimum of two persons. Each canoe trail is led by a highly experienced canoe guide with a willing assistant. No experience is needed but you do need to be in relatively good health with an average level of fitness.
You'll depart with all of your equipment and food packed into the Canadian style canoes. Each day sees a new stretch of the Zambezi River, and you'll enjoy paddling between 20 - 30 kilometres of river per day. At night you sleep on river islands, and everybody joins in with the cooking, cleaning and packing up of camp.
These canoe trails have been, and are still, one of the most memorable safaris any of our guests have undertaken. Canoe trails are not for the faint-hearted as the area is wild; the river is populated by hippo and other wildlife is abundant along the shoreline. We guarantee you'll remember this trip for the rest of your life.
No single supplements apply when a minimum of two guests are booked on a trip. This trip runs on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year depending on availability.
