Explore the fascinating sites of southwest Africa during this full day orientation tour along the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point.
You will be collected from your hotel for this scenic journey to Cape Point. En route you will pass through the suburbs of Green Point and Sea Point with a photographic stop at Maidens Cove, Camps Bay, nestled on the foreground of the impressive peaks of the Twelve Apostles.
Continue along the Atlantic seaboard towards Hout Bay, a small fishing village. Here we join a scheduled cruise out to Duiker Island to observe the Cape Fur Seals that occupy this island.
You depart Hout Bay Harbour for one of the most scenic drives along the Altantic coast via Chapmans Peak Drive. You proceed through the seaside residential suburbs of Misty Cliffs and Scarborough before entering the Cape of Good Hope Section of Table Mountain National Park as you travel south to Cape Point.
This expansive nature reserve occupies 19,150 acres of indigenous fauna and flora with dramatic sea cliffs.
You may choose to wander up to the Cape Point Light House or use the funicular for a short ride up, taking in breathtaking views and stunning photographic opportunities.
A delicious lunch is enjoyed at the Two Oceans restaurant before departing to Boulders Beach Penguin colony in Simonstown. The African Penguin is the only penguin species to breed on the African continent.
A drive through the naval base town takes you back to Cape Town whilst passing the University of Cape Town, Rhodes Memorial, Mostert's Mill and the famous Groote Schuur Hospital before arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon.
