Today we will embark on an unforgettable journey to Mount Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest mountain—and the point on Earth farthest from the planet’s center. Starting at the Edgar Whymper Refuge at 5,000 meters (16,400 feet), we begin our descent by bike through breathtaking highland landscapes, with a good chance of spotting wild vicuñas along the way.

After Chimborazo, we continue a short distance by vehicle before starting a spectacular descent along one of the most impressive roads in the Andes: the old Vía Flores. This scenic route follows a small mountain stream that gradually grows into a river, carving its way through dramatic canyons and rugged terrain.

We finish our journey in Ambato
