The visit consists of a walk through the fazenda to see the coffee plantations, its processing and storage. The visit continues through the manor house were the Coffee Barons and their families lived in the midst of a sophistication that had nothing to envy from the European monarchical houses. The visit ends at a “senzala”, a place where enslaved Africans lived, ate, were their children were born, were they celebrated their holidays. The local guide will explain what it was like for the hundreds of slaves to keep the lucrative business of the coffee plantations running.
