After breakfast, at 08h00, depart with an Italian-speaking guide on a half day City Tour, including entrance fees for Slave lodge. This excursion will be operated on a private basis.

The tour starts off with a trip to Table Mountain, where guests will explore one of the seven wonders of the World (maintenance and weather permitting; cable car fee not included). Few things will come close to the panoramic views that can be seen from the top of this majestic mountain.

Those who enjoy a sense of history, will appreciate the short stroll through the Company Gardens, which was first established to service the ships passing the cape. Immaculate lawns, diverse plant life, fishponds and inquisitive squirrels are just part of the garden’s charm and a wonderful way to soak up the city, away from the hustle bustle. Here, guests can also visit the Arch for Arch monument next to St. George’s Cathedral, which was created to commemorate the work and life of Desmond Tutu, known to the local folk as “The Arch.”

Take a historical journey through Slave lodge, one of the city’s oldest buildings, for the opportunity to explore the long history of slavery in South Africa and where guests can also appreciate the contemporary exhibitions used to raise awareness around human rights issues.

A drive through the city will really give you a feel for the cultural melting pot that it is. The tour ends with a delicious hand-roasted coffee in a vintage cast-iron drum at the artisan coffee shop, Truth Café (any meals will be for your own account). Drop-off at your hotel around 12h30.
