On this must-do private journey around the Cape Peninsula, you’ll tour the gorgeous Atlantic seaboard. The drive takes you past the swanky seaside suburbs of Sea Point and Clifton and on to Camps Bay, with its’ many trendy beachfront cafés and restaurants.

The exclusive hamlets of Bakoven and Llandudno are also gorgeous sights on the way to the fishing village of Hout Bay.  Next, you’ll navigate the breath-taking curves of Chapman’s Peak Drive as it follows the rocky coastline, revealing spectacular views in all directions.

At Cape Point Nature Reserve, you have the opportunity to see some fabulous birds as well as very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and baboons. Ride the funicular to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse and capture even more magical vistas of False Bay or if you are feeling active, hike up from The Cape of Good Hope.

Of course, no visit to the Cape Peninsula would be complete without popping in at Boulders Beach to witness the antics of the African penguins. Head home through the naval village of Simonstown and over scenic Boyes Drive, taking in the views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St James and Muizenberg.

To round off your day, there is an option to take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain. Here you can admire a panoply of the unique plant life of the Cape Flora, also known as fynbos, as well as plants from all the diverse regions and biomes of southern Africa. Or, if you prefer the fruits of a different kind of plant altogether, enjoy a wine tasting at one of the premium estates in the Constantia Valley such as Steenberg, Constantia Glen or the historic Groot Constantia.
