The Giraffe Centre, established by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), offers visitors the chance to observe Rothschild giraffes up close. It also provides educational programs focused on Kenyan wildlife and environmental awareness, particularly for local school groups.

What To Do At The Giraffe Centre
Start your visit by checking the site map near the entrance for an overview of the centre. Staff members, identifiable in khaki uniforms, are available to offer guidance and answer questions. Learn more about giraffes and local wildlife through short educational talks. Artwork created by students is also available for purchase, supporting environmental education programs.
Nature Sanctuary
Enjoy a peaceful walk along a 1.5-kilometre nature trail. Look out for birds, small wildlife, and views of the Ngong Hills from the View Point. The trail also passes by the Gogo River and the Warthog Den.
Tea House & Gift Shop
Relax with refreshments at the Tea House and browse for souvenirs in the gift shop. Proceeds help support the centre’s educational initiatives.
INSIDER'S TIP: Visitors can spend as much time at the centre as they would like without a prior booking (entry tickets, per person, are an affordable nominal amount).
