The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the non-profit African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW Kenya).
Their main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on the country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity to learn about the conservation efforts of the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.
08:00 – Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi.
09:00 – Depart for The Giraffe Centre, located a few kilometres from most hotels and just a short drive from the city surrounds.
This conservation centre offers visitors the opportunity to spend time observing these towering creatures, namely the once-endangered Rothschild giraffes of Africa, in their natural habitat. It also provides educational information about giraffes, making it an ideal destination for families and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
In addition to the giraffes, the centre is home to several other species of wildlife, including warthogs, bushbuck, and a multitude of bird species. With its stunning views of the Ngong Hills and its peaceful, natural setting, The Giraffe Center Nairobi is a truly unique and unforgettable safari experience.

INSIDER'S TIP: Visitors can spend as much time as they want at the centre without a prior booking (entry tickets, per person, are an affordable nominal amount). The centre is a great place for children who enjoy learning about animals.
