Tour Description:
You’ll start your day with a beach and bush hike in a remote corner of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, captivated by the fabulous fynbos, rock pools, a shipwreck, and World War II history.
While exploring the reserve, you’ll have the option of short walks to the iconic Cape Point lighthouse and the southwestern tip of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope.
Lunch is included in the form of an on-the-go picnic, allowing you to immerse yourself in the raw beauty of the Cape Point Nature Reserve.
You’ll then be guided along the walkways at Boulders Penguin Colony, nestled between Simon’s Town and Cape Point. Boulders is renowned for its African Penguin colony and stunning beaches framed by ancient boulders and azure waters. Here, amidst a quiet residential area, you can observe these critically endangered birds up close as they roam freely in their protected natural habitat.
As the day comes to a close, you can unwind and enjoy a sundowner on Chapman’s Peak Drive. Affectionately known by locals as “Chappies,” this route is considered one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world, featuring 114 curves, sheer drops to the sea, towering mountains, and breathtaking 180° views. If you’d like any tweaks to tone or detail, I can tailor it further.
