At the agreed time you will leave the Enjoy Nicaragua office together with your assigned guide to go to a family business, located just a few blocks away from our office. When you get there, you will be welcomed by the local teacher. Here you will be learn step by step how to make tortillas, Buñuelos and “Indio Viejo”, which is the second best stew in the world according to the Taste Atlas ranking. First, you will put on the appropriate attire for the class, then the teacher will introduce the utensils and ingredients to be used, so that you can begin to prepare the aforementioned foods.
Right after, you will make tortillas, and then throw them into the fire and Tortillas will be ready. Once tortillas are ready, you will taste them with cheese and a little chili if you want to, while the other tortillas are ground, since it is the main ingredient of the Indio Viejo. Afterwards, you will begin to peel and cut the yucca to make Buñuelos. Once peeled and cut, you will grind them to proceed to make the honey that accompanies this dessert. When the Indio Viejo is ready with the Buñuelos, you will proceed to taste the food made by yourselves. At the end of the tour, the recipe will be shared with you.
