Trip Summary

The aim of the day is to explore the highlights of the Cape Peninsula, looking for any excuse to embrace the ocean and explore one of the most unique marine habitats in the world. Undoubtedly the highlight of the day will be starting it with a birds eye view of the peninsula.

Start the morning in the most exhilarating way with an unforgettable helicopter tour of the Cape Peninsula. This Flight will lift off close to the V&A Waterfront, giving you the opportunity to capture photographs and take in the City sites, from the Cape Town Stadium, Table Mountain & views across the ocean to Robben Island. The Flight path will follow the Atlantic Seaboard as you fly over Camps Bay with its backdrop of the Twelve Apostles followed by Hout Bay. Take in the epic 144 bends of Chapman’s Peak Drive – undoubtedly the most famous coastal road in South Africa which you will explore via Adventure Utility Vehicle later on in your day. You will fly over the smaller suburbs of  Kommetjie and Scarborough before rounding the Cape of Good Hope, the most South Westerly point of Africa. A truly magnificent way of seeing the region which you will then discover on land as you touch down right in the heart of the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Your Guide will meet you with your Private Vehicle and the explorations will continue on land.

In the Peninsula Reserve we will enjoy an exciting hike exploring secluded beaches, shipwrecks and this region’s unique wildlife while on the hunt for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bontebok and Tortoise). We will then head towards Simon’s Town to search for our own rogue penguins. Perhaps if the weather is favourable you could test out your balancing skills on a stand-up paddle board or Kayak to really get to know the penguins in their own environment. Your guide will tell you more about the rich history surrounding this naval town, the museums and monuments provide plenty of insight into this historical harbour town.

Your journey will then lead you to Noordhoek where you will join Rockstar Chef, Nicky Gibbs for a delightful and whimsical tea pairing experience with a selection of mouth-watering canapes and snacks. Nicky's incredible career has seen her cater for famous politicians, Nobel laureates, and a jaw dropping array of Platinum Rock Stars! Meet the legend in person at her private home overlooking the leafy suburb of Noordhoek with its forests and endless white beach. She will show you around her home and garden, explaining her inspiration for her impressive homemade tea collection and the best food items to serve them with, while regaling you with stories of her colourful career and amazing achievements.

You will have the opportunity to explore the Noordhoek Farm Village home with its quaint boutique shops and the best Ice Cream Parlor in the Southern Suburbs. The return journey will lead us back over the scenic coastal road of Chapman’s Peak Drive where we will stop for Early Evening Sundowners before returning back to base.
