Shongwe Lookout offers guests stunning African décor, combined with modern comfort. Our Guest Lodge comprises 23 rooms, set in verdant tropical gardens, built around stunning teak trees teaming with bird life. Our rooms are grouped according to these cheerful visitors; Carmine Bee-eater, Paradise Flycatcher, Kingfisher, Heuglin’s Robin, and the Trumpeter Hornbill.

Deluxe and Executive rooms contain a shower and a bath, while studio rooms contain a shower. All rooms provide a private toilet, a desk, free wifi, a safe, USB and universal plugs, tea and coffee facilities, a fan, a mosquito net, an air conditioner, toiletries and a host of other amenities to ensure your comfort. Shongwe Lookout is located 1 kilometre from Victoria Falls town centre, and 2 kilometres from the world-renown waterfall for which our town is named.

Lookout Tower:
Shongwe Lookout, with its distinctive Lookout Tower, was one of the first havens for travellers in the suburbs of Victoria Falls. Newly refurbished, the tower offers you stunning vistas accessed from two viewing platforms. A pulley system enables you to order and enjoy drinks without missing a moment of the magic.

Guided Tour of the Falls:
A knowledgeable guide will take you on an unforgettable experience through the Victoria Falls rain forest, a journey which affords a view of one he the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Flight of the Angels:
There’s no better way to see the scale, magnificence and beauty of the Victoria Falls than from the air. But it’s not just the Falls that you’ll see from a different angle. 

Zambezi River Sunset Cruise:
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, the upmarket, luxury boat is designed for comfort and tranquility. There are two decks, complete with couches, chairs and coffee tables, and each has its own bar and staff for top quality service. There’s also free WIFI if you want to share your photos with your loved ones back home.

White Water Rafting:
Arguably the wildest white water in the world, rafting the mighty Zambezi River is the ultimate adrenaline rush. The Zambezi rapids are officially defined as Grade 5 (Grade 6 being commercially un-runnable). The rafting experience begins at 7am when you are collected from your hotel. Save some energy for the steep walk out of the gorge at the end of an action-packed morning, where an ice cold coke or beer and a well-earned lunch awaits you.

Adrenaline Highwire:
Be daring and test your limits with the high wire activities from the ‘Look-Out’, set on the spectacular cliffs of the Batoka Gorge, just 300m from the Victoria Falls. Experience a collection of mind-blowing extreme adrenaline activities – the gorge swing, zip line, flying fox, as well as a canopy tour, which is suitable for families and children from the age of six years.
