We have unearthed family-friendly wine estates where family is at the heart of things and little explorers are not only warmly welcomed but allowed to treat the farms as a playground.
The Cape Winelands is home to over 120 Vineyards, each with varying way in which we can explore and learn about how they produce their Grapes. Our day will focus on exploring child friendly estates in a fun and engaging way for the whole family.

Our morning begins as we leave Cape Town in our Adventure Utility Vehicle (AUV) and take the scenic route into the Winelands for our day of fun play, taste, and exploration which awaits!
Experience the unexpected – to get our morning off to an exciting start, we will hop onto free wheeling bikes for a Scootouring adventure down the gentle slopes of Chamonix Wine Farm and enjoy breath taking views over the Franschhoek Valley. During the tour you will experience the beauty of these alpine-like mountains surrounding Franschhoek in a fun and active way. Stunning views, majestic mountains, and endless downhill slopes are what Scootours is all about. Scooters are non-motorized making this Eco-friendly. The scooters are propelled by gravity and our vehicle takes you to the top of the runs. These Swiss-designed, non-motorized push bikes are used in the Alps during the summer season on the ski slopes when the snow is gone. All trips are guided by professional qualified guides. This activity is a sure hit amongst children and adults of all ages! a Great laugh for the whole family.
OPTIONAL: Next we visit the Farm Sanctuary SA, a unique and inspiring haven for rescued farm animals. Visitors can enjoy wine tasting and savor delicious meals at the plant-based café. Families will find it an ideal stop, where children can delight in feeding the animals while parents relax with a glass of wine or explore the sanctuary’s mission and projects. A beautiful farm for the children to interact with the animals and see what farm life is all about.
We continue our morning adventure through the charismatic town of Franschhoek for a gentle stroll to explore this French-inspired town. Uncover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breathtaking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history. Here we will sit down for a fine dining lunch at one of Franschhoek's many picturesque wine estates.
To treat yourself after the fun adrenalin of the morning, we will indulge in a chocolate tasting in the heart of Franschhoek at a local chocolatier.
This afternoon, we will enjoy in a wine tasting at Muratie Wine Estate. Muratie's rich history is captured in every nook and cranny. Wherever you are on the estate you cannot help being moved by a sense of the many generations that have lived and worked on this estate.
Time allowing, we make our way to the expansive gardens of Babylonstoren which are steeped in fascinating history. A working farm dating back to 1692, Babylonstoren is a historic Cape Dutch farm that boasts one of the best preserved farmyards in the Cape.
