The Winelands are overflowing with vineyards, each producing unique wines with a range of flavours and tastes. One thing that’s often overlooked during a fleeting visit is the variety of ways one may explore the area while learning about a range of wine producing techniques.

Spend the day uncovering the charm, flavour, and heritage of the Stellenbosch Winelands on foot and through the glass.
We start our journey in the heart of Stellenbosch where we will explore on two feet, beginning at Dorp Street, one of the longest rows of old buildings surviving in any major town in southern Africa, it oozes with an old-world charm. We will take a stroll down the street and admire the beautiful Cape Dutch architecture, restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops before continuing through the heart of the Town.
Our next stop is Waterford Estate, set amid citrus groves, fragrant herb gardens, and rolling lawns in the heart of Stellenbosch. Known for its elegant wines and sensory experiences, Waterford offers a signature Wine and Chocolate Pairing that delights all palates. You’ll be guided through three inspired pairings: Kevin Arnold Shiraz with Masala Chai Dark Chocolate, Cabernet Sauvignon with Rock Salt Dark Chocolate, and the Heatherleigh Noble Late Harvest with Rose Geranium Milk Chocolate. Beautifully presented and thoughtfully explained, this tasting highlights the harmony between handcrafted wines and artisanal chocolates in a setting as refined as the experience itself.
Our next stop is Kleinood, a small and beautifully curated estate tucked into the Blaauwklippen Valley. With just ten hectares of vines and a name meaning “something small and precious,” this family-owned farm is rooted in heritage and simplicity. Enjoy a peaceful wine tasting surrounded by fynbos and gardens, where each sip reflects a deep connection to the land and its legacy.
If time allows, conclude your day with a tasting at Winshaw Vineyards. Rich in family history and set just outside Stellenbosch, this estate produces exceptional wines alongside responsibly raised farm produce. It’s a fitting final toast before heading back to the city.
