Savant Tours Niagara Falls Day Tour

This full-day, round-trip tour from Toronto to the Niagara Region stops in charming Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Travelers will have time for lunch, to wander through boutiques, and to explore historic streets.  Afterwards, enjoy the scenic drive alongside the Niagara River to Niagara Falls.  Along the way, your guide will talk about the region's biodiversity and history. Upon arrival at the Falls, take the breathtaking Boat Cruise to the base of Horseshoe Falls.  As an optional (add-on), visit the Skylon Tower observatory deck, with its stunning 360-degree views of Niagara Falls and the surrounding region.  Guests will then have free time to shop, eat, and explore Niagara Falls before reboarding the bus for the return trip to Toronto.

All times are approximate, and the hourly breakdown has been planned to account for traffic to and from the Niagara Region.

8:00 am - Your Niagara guide and coach bus will pick you up at your hotel or the departure address you selected during the original purchase.  

8:30 - 9:00 am - After all passengers have been picked up, en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, the guide will introduce themselves and Toronto to the group, go over the day's itinerary and logistics, and add everyone to the WhatsApp Group chat for the day.  Also, sell Skylon Tower tickets to interested guests who did not initially purchase them.  In addition, the guide will hand out paper tickets to guests who already purchased the Skylon Tower. 

10:00 am (approximate): Arrive in Niagara-on-the-Lake’s coach bus parking lot, deboard and get led into town by your guide.  The guide will share a Google Maps link via the WhatsApp Group Chat with Niagara-on-the-Lake lunch recommendations and points of interest, and the post-lunch meeting location.

10:15 am - Enjoy free time and lunch in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

12:00 pm -  Walk back to the coach bus parking lot and reboard the bus.

12:15 pm - After the entire group has reboarded the coach bus, it will depart for Niagara Falls, Ontario.   

12:15 - 12:45 pm - The bus route will run parallel to the Niagara Strait, and your guide will introduce the group to the region's unique biodiversity and history.  The bus will slow down and stop at points of interest, including one of the smallest chapels in the world, the original location of Niagara Falls, the Floral Clock, Ontario Power Generating Station, the Niagara Whirlpool, the Original Hill’s Barrel, Niagara Falls, New York, and Niagara Falls.  Also, the guide will explain how the Niagara region is a micro-climate and how the Niagara Strait creates it.   

Through the WhatsApp Group Chat, the guide will send the group a Google Map of Niagara Falls with dessert recommendations, Skylon Tower location, points of interest, and the end-of-day pick-up spot.   

12:45 pm - The group will arrive at Clifton Hill and deboard the bus.  The guide will walk the group 5 minutes to the Niagara City Cruises group counter, pick up their tickets and distribute them to everyone.  

1:00 pm - The guide will lead the group to the Niagara Boat Cruise entrance and ensure everyone boards.

Biodegradable rain coats are available upon request.  To stay as dry as possible, it is best to stay on the bottom level of the boat, away from the edges. 

1:15 - 1:45 pm - The group will enjoy the Niagara Boat Cruise.  

1:45 pm -  The guide will greet the group at the exit point of the Niagara Falls boat cruise and lead them back up to street level.  

2:00 pm - Once the group has returned to street level, individuals who chose not to purchase the Skylon Tower will have free time in Niagara Falls.  For individuals who purchased the Skylon Tower, your guide will walk you over to it from the Boat Cruise.  

2:15 pm - Arrive at the Skylon Tower and head up the elevator to the observation deck and enjoy 360-degree, panoramic, indoor/outdoor views of the Horseshoe and American Falls, the Great Gorge, and the Niagara River.  

An hour is the average duration guests spend at the Skylon Tower.  However, you can spend as much time as you like during your visit. 

3:15 - 5:30 pm (Skylon Tower Guests, Approximate) - Exit Skylon Tower and enjoy free time in Niagara Falls. 

5:30 pm - All travellers will walk back to Clifton Hill and reboard the bus.

5:45 pm - Once the entire group has reboarded, the coach bus departs for Toronto.  Your guide will check in with everyone, ensure things went smoothly, and then you can take a nap. 

6:45 pm - Once within Toronto’s city limits, your guide will share with you a third Google Map with food, drink and dessert recommendations vetted by Savant Tours to use during your stay in the city!

Finally, depending on your drop-off point, your guide will point out recommended areas to check out and points of interest.  Any post-tour questions about getting back to your accommodation can be answered by your guide before you depart the bus.
