Trip Summary

Get ready for an amazing adventure filled with marine wildlife, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery!

Starting with a bus ride to Puntarenas, your first stop is at Isla Cocos Restaurant, where you'll indulge in a delicious breakfast before continuing your adventure.

Next, aboard a boat to search for dolphins in the bay of Puntarenas, passing by San Lucas, Caballo, and Bejuco Islands. Upon arrival at the oyster farm, you'll have the opportunity to disembark for a brief explanation by a representative of the Oyster Association about the growth and care of oysters (weekdays). Then, continue to Isla Venado, where you'll explore Playa Albina (Blue Ecological Flag) and a trail on the island leading to the dock for a mangrove tour (optional ground transportation for the tour). During the tour, you'll navigate through mangrove channels inhabited by a variety of seabird species, visit the shrimp farm, and reach the floating restaurant for lunch.

Enjoy a variety of fresh seafood options, including corvina ceviche, whole fried fish, or shrimp rice, as well as the typical dish of rice, beans, plantains, chicken, or pork. All meals are served with refreshing natural drinks.

After lunch, board the boat again to reach Playa Esmeralda, a beautiful white sand, and shells beach, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. As the sun begins to set, take the boat back towards Puntarenas to board the bus back to San José.

Remember to bring a water bottle, light clothing, swimwear, towel, sandals, sunscreen, and a hat to ensure your comfort throughout the day.
