Trip Summary

Enjoy a 2-night escape to the Stellenbosch Winelands. Stay at the lovely De Zalze Lodge, situated on the Kleine Zalze wine estate, and explore the wineries of the area on the Vine Hopper. Includes a complimentary bottle of wine and a wine tasting on the estate.

De Zalze Lodge is a vernacular style guest lodge overlooking the lush vineyards and breathtaking Stellenbosch mountains. Nestled against the first fairway of the De Zalze Golf Course, this luxurious four-star establishment provides relaxed yet pristine accommodation with an array of leisurely pastimes guaranteed to unwind the stresses of modern day living. Guests are invited to enjoy wine tastings, cycling, hiking and running trails through the rolling vineyards, or simply to relax by the pool. Coupled with the exquisite location and impeccable service – this makes for a pleasurable, revitalising and unforgettable stay.

The Vine Hopper is a unique wine tour operating three hop-on hop-off routes in the Stellenbosch wine region. Each of these wine tours stops at up to six different wine estates. You can decide which of the farms you want to visit and how long you want to stay. Pick-up and drop-off is conveniently from you lodge, so you do not need to worry about designated drivers!

Stellenbosch is one of the most beautiful towns in South Africa and is home to some of the best wines in the world! The town is known for its Cape Dutch Architecture and has the best preserved historic center in South Africa. The Oak lined streets of Stellenbosch are also home to the prestigious University of Stellenbosch. The Stellenbosch Winelands are in close proximity to Cape Town (40 minutes drive by car) and a real South African attraction.
