The tuk-tuk tours offered by Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers give tourists the mobility to get around Soweto’s nooks and crannies, while still allowing them to interact with the locals and take in the neighbourhood. A colourful, three-wheeler “tuk-tuk” takes visitors on two- and four-hour tours around Soweto’s attractions and historical sites. Along the way you can learn about the area’s history, meet and greet people, and take in Soweto’s culture.
The two-hour tour explores Orlando West and gives visitors first-hand experience of life in this neighbourhood. Tourists will visit the former migrant workers’ hostel in Mzimhlophe, and get insights into how Soweto went from housing migrant workers to accommodating modern family life.
