Trip Summary

This Wine Safari explores a range of scenic 4x4 tracks and hiking trails amongst the vineyards, with the opportunity to taste some of the finest wines in the world and discover a little of the history of the Cape’s most famous winelands.

Our day begins with a visit to Babylonstoren in the scenic Franschhoek Mountains for a guided tour of the estate’s magnificent gardens, orchards and vineyards. This is followed by a wine tasting session before heading across to Delaire Graff – one of the oldest estates in Franschhoek – for lunch and the chance to sample more of this region’s outstanding wines.

We will spend the afternoon at Waterford Wine Estate and start with a private cellar tour, before departing on a 4x4 safari across the beautiful mountain slopes and valleys of the Helderberg Mountains. This is an incredibly diverse region, and expert guides will uncover some of the aspects which make this area so unique. The day finishes with sundowners overlooking the stunning Franschhoek Wine Valley.
