Trip Summary

Come experience Africa’s wild animals only 3 hours from Cape Town in the Karoo veld at the Inverdoorn Game Reserve, providing the opportunity to view Lion, Cheetah, Giraffes, Rhinos, Zebra, Buffalo, a variety of antelope species and more than 165 species of birds.

Travel through the Cape Winelands along the N1 and continue through the fruit growing region of Ceres before arriving at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve. At the reserve you are welcomed with a drink and some snacks.

Next you head off on your 2,5 – 3 hour game drive in an open-air 4×4 in search of wild animals. Return to the base camp where a buffet lunch waits for you. Spend some leisure time at the reserve where you can relax around the pool or even enjoy a game of French Boules. Later in the afternoon we return to Cape Town through the historic Huguenot Tunnel back into the Mother City.

Additional Information

Please note:
That all safari options close to Cape Town are in newly established private game reserves and thus cannot be compared to a safari in a more established game viewing area like Kruger National Park which has been around for a hundred or so years. These options fill a very important role in the safari market by offering those persons who have never been on safari and who do not have the time to visit a more established reserve the chance to view Africas wild animals … sometimes for the first time.

Muslim Clients:
Inverdoorn is not Halaal due to there being pork and alcohol on the premises, however the meat and chicken are sourced from Halaal certified suppliers.

Peak Season rates apply from 20/12/2020 – 15/01/2021 … enquire for details. The reserve is closed for day visitors on 25th December & 1st January each year.
