AfriCamps at Ingwe is situated in the Crags, a lush forest and Fynbos area embraced by the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay where you can experience all the Garden Route is so famous for. Our high elevated tents boast outstanding views of rolling green hill tops surrounded by deep indigenous forested valleys and the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range. AfriCamps at Ingwe is an outdoor adventurer and nature lover’s paradise.  Visit one of the many popular attractions in the area, or just sit on the private deck of your tent and soak up the tranquil beauty and peaceful sounds of Ingwe’s forest.

AfriCamps tents consist of a spacious open plan lounge area with a comfortable couch and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room area has a solid wooden table with enough seating for 5 people. For winter months the fireplace will be the perfect way to warm up the tent, bringing in an intimate setting for you and your love ones. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed and have their own private entrance which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains an extra single bunk bed, so the tent will comfortably sleep a family of 5. Our tents are equipped with an air conditioning unit to keep you cool during those hot summer nights and a private bathroom with a hot shower cabin, washbasin and flushing toilet. Three of the tents now offer a private wood-fired hot tub where you can take in the breathtaking view while listening to the crackle of fire under the African sky. A wood-fired hot tub is the purest form of relaxation and enjoying the outdoors, ideal for those starry winter nights. With all the comfort of a permanent structure – proper furniture, bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a solid wooden floor – they still preserve the romance and atmosphere of staying in a tent.

Wood-fired Hot Tubs
Three of our six tents offer the exclusive use of their own outdoor wood-fired hot tub. A wood-fired hot tub is the purest form of relaxation and enjoying the outdoors. Back to nature, while listening to the crackle of fire under the African sky. Guests have the choice to book a tent with or without a tub when making their booking online.

Swimming Pool
Guests are welcome to enjoy the pool, with children to be accompanied at all times.

Picnic at the dams
The dams are within walking distance of the AfriCamps tents. Gather your picnic goodies from one of the neighbouring farm stalls and enjoy a sumptuous picnic at the various picnic sites along the farm dams.

Go fishing with a local
Take a fishing trip with a local from the area who can show you the best river or beach for fishing. Our local guide will help you with a few local tips and tricks to better your chances of making that catch! Please enquire on rates and availability with your host.

Hiking Trails
The Couch Potato Trail is a MUST – The name Couch Potato was given due to the ease of this route. The trail is well laid out circular route of about 2,2 km.
