A day of contrasts as we visit historic wineries and newer vineyards in and around the Franschhoek Valley, and hear the stories that give each one its unique presence in the heart of the winelands.
We will then visit Glenwood Wines, developed from scratch over the past 30 years, for a Cellar Tour followed by lunch at Pierneef á La Motte. Pierneef’s creativity in portraying the beauty of the South African landscape is echoed in the restaurant’s offering of traditional cuisine with a modern interpretation.
Our day ends at Babylonstoren, one of the oldest traditional Cape Dutch wine farms. We will explore the expansive orchards and vegetable gardens, and finish with a wine tasting session.
