2-nights Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge - White River

Situated between Nelspruit and White River this is the perfect base to discover Kruger and the Panorama Route, or to get out of town and spend a few days in nature.

Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge is situated on a wildlife estate (with an array of “plains” game species that graze around) between the small artistic town of White River (10 minutes drive to the north), and the larger city of Nelspruit/Mbombela (20 minutes drive to the south), and it takes 4 hours from Johannesburg. This unique location is perfect to relax and to explore some of Southern Africa’s most precious natural attractions like the world-renowned Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon and the scenic Panorama Route. The name “Ndhula” is the short and modified form of Indlulamithi, which means “Giraffe” in the local Zulu language.  Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge  consist of an inviting open-air reception area  which adjoins a large, tented dining area where you can enjoy South African and international cuisine with beautiful views over the valley.  And with views out over a large infinity-view swimming pool, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast or lunch during the day. Adjacent is an open-air lounge, stylishly furnished with every modern comfort in luxury ethnic wooden design – the perfect spot for an early morning coffee, or a daytime drink.

Luxury Safari Tents are situated on large and raised 50sqm wooden decks, boasting stunning views over the bushveld and the valleys. These safari style tents are air-conditioned, and feature a full en-suite bathroom with shower and Twin Size bedding. The tents are only furnished for two persons.

Why not notch that experience up a level with a walk along one of the many hiking trails in the area? From leisurely half day strolls to technical multi-day treks, there is a trail to suit everyone. For those looking for only a taste of the outdoor experience, the estate upon which Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge is situated has a crisscrossing network of dirt trails, providing short walks, which take guests through the scenic Lowveld landscape, allowing them to mingle with the resident on-site wildlife.

Mountain Biking:
Mpumalanga is both one of the best and most beautiful mountain-biking spots in South Africa. A wealth of trails provides tracks of varying difficulty, giving both novice and expert riders something to perfectly suit their riding ability. Whatever your preference, the treasure trove of bike trails available in the area allows avid riders to enjoy the bushveld scenery from the saddle. Ndhula Luxury Tented Lodge offers some gentle on-site biking opportunities thanks to a network of dirt tracks on the property. Perfect for an early morning pick-me-up before breakfast.

Trail Running:
If you are in search of something faster than the gentle strolling pace of a hike but slower than the thundering speed of a mountain bike, you are in luck. Short and technical, long meandering and everything in between, Mpumalanga offers a host of trail running options suitable for everyone from novice to expert. 

Sundowners:
What better way to end off a day of game viewing or visiting Mpumalanga’s many sights than from our sunset hill, which has an unbeatable view over the Lowveld. Guests do however, need access to a 4×4 vehicle to access this area.
