Trip Summary

The aim of the day is to explore the highlights of the Cape Peninsula, looking for any excuse to embrace the ocean and the great outdoors in this unique and spectacular habitat to explore one of the most unique marine habitats in the world.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the day will be starting it with a birds eye view of the peninsula.

Start the morning in the most exhilarating way with an unforgettable scenic helicopter tour of the Cape Peninsula. This Flight with detour from the Three Bays Flight via Kommetjie, Scarborough, Cape Point Nature Reserve, the sweeping crags of Cape Point & Simon's Town. A truly magnificent way of seeing the region which you will then discover on land. The Helicopter will land in Simonstown, where our guide and private adventure vehicle will be waiting for you.

Once on land in Simon’s Town, we will search for our own rogue penguins – a splinter colony away from the crowded boardwalks over the main breeding site, on a beach known mostly to locals. Perhaps if the weather is favourable you could test out your balancing skills on a stand-up paddle board to really get to know the penguins in their own environment. (This is optional). Your guide will tell you more about the rich history surrounding this naval town, the museums and monuments provide plenty of insight into this historical harbour town.

We will then continue on to the Cape of Good Hope. In the peninsula reserve we will enjoy a gentle hike exploring secluded beaches, shipwrecks and this region’s unique wildlife while on the hunt for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bontebok and Tortoise).

We will head out of the Cape Peninsula along the Atlantic Seaboard for a really unique Privately hosted gourmet lunch experience, at a local chefs home - Chef Nicky Gibbs who has cheffed for some rockstars around the world will host you in her personal home for a delicious 6 course set menu fresh lunch paired with botanical teas with ingredients foraged from her garden. Expect a feast for the senses in a beautiful setting with expansive views out onto Noordhoek Valley.

After the delicate lunch at the Chef's home we will head to the Noordhoek Farm Village, we can enjoy a decadent local ice cream just before boarding our unique funky Side-Cars for a fun transfer to feel the wind in your hair. Sidecars are one of the most exciting and adventurous way to travel back to Cape Town over the scenic coastal toll road of Chapman’s Peak Drive with dramatic landscapes and incredible ocean and mountain views.

Let the day wind down with sundowners at a local spot on the peninsula before heading back to your hotel.
