Trip Summary

Experiencing the unexpected - we begin exploring Dylan Lewis Gardens before exploring the musical vines of DeMorgenzon, where Baroque Music is piped through the vineyards 24/7. Our tour will continue to Jordan Wines where we will enjoy Lunch at The Bakery before ending the day with a Private Tasting at Muratie, one of the oldest estates in South Africa.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Stellenbosch, one of the unique wine regions in the Western Cape, to experience some memorable visits and unique wine estates.

Get your day off to a gentle start with a guided tour through the Dylan Lewis sculpture garden. The Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden is a place of expansive vistas, scents and the sounds of nature, with tranquil groves, hidden paths and lush indigenous vegetation. Stroll in the gardens, to view at over 60 sculptures carefully placed in harmony with the landscape. The Sculptures focus on the human form, shamanic figures, monumental abstracted fragments and his iconic great cats. Along four kilometres of paths, one is led on a journey through different 'rooms', from the heather hills dominated by earthy male images to the meditative poplar grove with its sensual female torsos.

From inspiring art and sculptures, we will then continue our day to discover a more musical side of this region at the DeMorgenzon Wine Estate.

DeMorgenzon’s technique is the most unusual in the area – they strongly believe that a constant stream of Baroque music piped through the vineyards has a positive effect on the ripening process. A truly unique wine tasting experience, with stunning views all round.

Your lunch will be enjoyed at Jordan Restaurant which offers spectacular views of the lake, vineyards, mountains and valley.

From lunch, we will indulge in another wine tasting in the afternoon, at Muratie wine estate, which dates back to 1685. An estate rich in heritage and history with some award winning wine options.
