boat trip on the Blyde Dam

This an exciting day experience that includes a  boat trip on the Blyde Dam. We have included a visit to a very pristine waterfall, hidden in the natural forests in the heart of the Blyde River Canyon

• The tour at Moholoholo is centred around the conservation of wild animals and the hardships they face. Many of the animals on show at the centre unfortunately will never return to the wild due to serious injuries, majority of which are human influenced. A guide will show you around the centre for approximately 2 hours where you will have the opportunity to get up close to a host of animals.
• Once the tour is complete, we will wind our way through the Blyde Canyon to a wonderful little waterfall hidden at the end of a 30 minute hike through the forest. Take a swim in the crystal-clear water, and if you’ve packed a picnic you can relax here and enjoy a nibble. The natural forest is an excellent birding paradise and a must for for nature lovers.
• The next stop will be right on the bank of the Blyde Dam for the boat cruise. This is a guided trip along the dam, where you will see the majestic Blyde River Canyon from below. You have the chance to spot various animals along the banks, we often see hippo and crocodile, along with baboons, kudu and every now and again a resident leopard will show itself.
