There is no better way to really immerse yourself in a destination, than to exit the vehicle and to explore the great outdoors. The winelands offer incredible scenic valleys, expansive vineyards and beautiful mountain ranges.
Experience the unexpected – to get our morning off to an exciting start, we will hop onto free-wheeling bikes for a Scootouring adventure down the gentle slopes of Chamonix Wine Farm and enjoy breath taking views over the Franschhoek Valley. During the tour, you will experience the beauty of these alpine-like mountains surrounding Franschhoek in a fun and active way. Stunning views, majestic mountains, and endless downhill slopes are what Scootours is all about. Scooters are non-motorized making this Eco-friendly. The scooters are propelled by gravity and our vehicle takes you to the top of the runs. These Swiss-designed, non-motorized push bikes are used in the Alps during the summer season on the ski slopes when the snow is gone. All trips are guided by professional qualified guides. This activity is a sure hit amongst children and adults of all ages!
From here, we will continue with a delightful MCC (Méthode Cap Classique) tasting at one of the Cape Winelands' boutique wine estates, renowned for its exceptional sparkling wines. Experience the craft of MCC production, a method that mirrors the traditional French Champagne process, as you sip on exquisite bubbles. Surrounded by scenic vineyard views, this tasting offers a perfect introduction to South Africa’s sparkling wine heritage, with each estate specializing in producing world-class Cap Classique wines.
We then explore the charming town of Franschhoek with its French Huguenot origins and learn about the fascinating development of wine in the region. Here we will sit down for a fine dining lunch at one of Franschhoek's many picturesque wine estates.

To treat yourself after the fun morning, we will indulge in a chocolate tasting in the heart of Franschhoek at a local chocolatier.
