The small town of Mindo is located in a semi-tropical area of cloud forest north-west of Quito and is famous for exquisite nature such as waterfalls, rivers, butterflies, orchids, and abundant birdlife including many hummingbirds. There is also a selection of adventure activities such as hiking, canopy ziplining and river tubing to enjoy, as well as a local chocolate workshop where delicious bars are made from natural ingredients. In case you rather stay with both feet on the (dry) ground, you can enjoy some great walks and enjoy nature. Not all of these activities can be fitted into a single day but you do have the flexibility to choose which ones you prefer – just discuss with your guide when he picks you up.
