NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK VISIT 2022

Nairobi National Park, A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district is the Nairobi National Park. Wide open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. 

Established in 1946, Nairobi National Park was Kenya’s first National Park. Located approximately 7 kilometers from Nairobi city centre, Nairobi National Park is the only protected area in the world with a variety of wild animals and birds so close to a capital city.

The park has a diversity of environments with fauna and flora, open grass plains with acacia bushes are predominant at the park. The western side has a highland dry forest and a permanent river with a riverine forest in the south. To the south of the park is the Athi-Kapiti Plains and Kitengela Migration and dispersal area – vital areas for herbivores dispersal during the rains and concentrate in the park in the dry season.

You will have breakfast at one of the picnic sites with views of the park then continue with the game drive.

0600 Hrs: Pick up  and proceed for a morning game drive in the  Nairobi National Park.  

1300 Hrs: Exit the park with an optional stop over for lunch before your are transferred back to the hotel.

1400 Hrs - Drop off at your Nairobi hotel.
