A tour that combines piranha fishing and alligator watching is a good choice for those who want to enjoy an exciting and authentic Amazonian experience. The adventure begins at the Manaus River Terminal, where you will board the boat bound for the Iranduba coast. On the journey you will explore more of Manaus, including stilt houses, countryside, local fishermen and ribeirinhos (indigenous people). Upon arrival in Iranduba, you will look for a good place to go piranha fishing. The Solimões River is much richer in fish than the Rio Negro, and you are likely to catch several species of catfish. Here you can have fun fishing with a bamboo pole and learn how the native Caboclos fish. When it gets dark, you will go in search of the alligator. Your naturalist guide will do his best to catch an alligator with his bare hands so that you can observe the fascinating animal up close. After providing information about the alligator, the instructor will return the animal to its natural habitat.
