Step into the Stellenbosch Valley, one of the Western Cape’s most distinctive wine regions. This day blends artistic expression, historic charm, and curated wine experiences, all set against a backdrop of vineyards, mountain views, and Cape Dutch architecture.

Begin your day with a walk through the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden. This remarkable space features more than 60 large-scale sculptures placed thoughtfully within indigenous landscapes, tranquil groves, and winding paths. Each section of the garden reveals a new perspective, from heather-covered hills to quiet forest clearings. The works explore the human form, shamanic figures, and the artist’s iconic wild cats.

Next, continue into the historic centre of Stellenbosch. Starting at Dorp Street, home to one of the longest preserved rows of heritage buildings in Southern Africa, you will explore a town filled with Cape Dutch architecture, charming cafés, boutiques, and galleries. Your guide will share insights into the area's rich cultural and winemaking history.

Settle in for a relaxed lunch at one of Stellenbosch’s acclaimed wine farm restaurants. With views of the vineyards and surrounding mountains, enjoy a seasonal menu designed to reflect the region’s local produce and culinary heritage.

In the afternoon, visit Muratie Wine Estate, one of the oldest and most atmospheric farms in the region. The estate’s rich history is evident throughout, from its cobwebbed cellars to its storytelling labels. This is a tasting that goes beyond the wine, offering a deep sense of place and legacy.

Time allowing, finish the day with a peaceful stroll through the expansive gardens of Babylonstoren. Dating back to 1692, this working Cape Dutch farm features one of the best-preserved farmyards in the Cape. Its gardens are a sensory experience filled with edible landscapes, orchards, and waterways, carefully laid out in harmony with the land’s heritage.
