Trip Summary

We will cross the southern slope until we reach great panoramic views of the National Park. The landscape combines the Patagonia steppe and the lenga forest that houses different vegetation and animals ready to be discovered by the keen eye of adventurers.  This will be an opportunity to enjoy spectacular views over Lake Roca and Lake Argentino. If we are lucky enough to have clear weather on the day of our ride; the panoramic vistas extend as far as Torres del Paine in Chile.

Meet our guide at the hotel and transfer to Cerro Frias, which is 1095mts/3500feet high, located within Estancia Alice, just 23km west from El Calafate (about 20/30 minutes drive), on the way on the same route that leads to Perito Moreno Glacier. Once at the Quincho/main lounge, the guide will indicate options for the walk. This is an easy walk on the plain. Another option is to a waterfall, located at about 3km. This is slightly demanding walking uphill.  The third option is the longer one, walking approximately 6km from the Quincho, the guide can indicate the more suitable path to each client. The idea is to walk uphill and keep enjoying beautiful views.

After the walk return to the Quincho to enjoy either lunch or snacks, depending on the selected departing time. There will be other day visitors at the Quincho but there are also separate tables to enjoy your meal.
