The Winelands is overflowing with farms, each producing their own unique wines offering a range of flavours and tastes. What is often overlooked by the fleeting visitor is the varying ways one can explore the area while learning about the differing ways in which each farm tends to their vines.
You day will be spent uncovering the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history.
Experience the unexpected – we will begin the day with a morning adventure, where you will get your heart race up by Scootouring down the lower Franschhoek Pass trails while taking in the 360 views across the Winelands. We will continue our morning adventure with an optional Tasting at the classy Le Lude estate which specializes in the local Methode Cap Classique wines. 'MCC' wines are our local version of the traditional style of the French champagne method.
After this tasting, we will be continuing on to a chocolate tasting before heading through the charismatic town of Franschhoek.
Lunch will be enjoyed at Moreson’s Bread & Wine before we spend the afternoon Wine Tasting and exploring diverse farms in the region.
After lunch, we will head back into town to pick up some mountain bikes, gear up and enjoy a cycle through the vineyards and through the lanes in the picturesque Franschhoek valley.
To round off the afternoon, we will enjoy a lovely wine tasting and cellar tour at the Glenwood Wine Estate.
