Be picked up from your hotel in the early evening. Head to one of the city’s slickest hidden cocktail bars for a chance to break bread and ice with your personable Localing host. Share a few tastes and interests to help make the experience personal.
With tireless hours of research, and reading, drinking and story swapping, you are in tried and capable hands. Begin with a gin or a classic cocktail in the intimate ‘Bar Americano,’ or with wine and tapas at our favourite laneway wine bar.
Learn about the city’s dark side and the many curious characters from both sides of the law, who have helped to shape it.
Continue to one of the city’s ‘rooftop bars’ and enjoy a different view of Melbourne, a local craft beer and a few more tasty share plates. Meet the people at the creative heart of this vibrant industry for some unique insight.
Down a cobble-stoned lane, take a left, a right and another left past the colourful street art, heaving dumpling joints and tantalising sounds of karaoke - leave it all behind in a hidden speakeasy from another time and place. Visit late night Tokyo, or a ‘gold rush’ opium den, a dive bar on the wrong side of a fridge door ...expect the unexpected from the Melbourne night.

Terms and Conditions
Bookings cancelled outside of 7 days of a tours departure will receive a 100% refund. Bookings cancelled inside 7 days but outside of 24 hours of a tours departure will receive a 50% refund. No refund is possible inside 24 hours of a tours departure. All amendments and rescheduled tour date requests inside of 48 hours will incur a change fee of $50 plus any additional costs incurred.
Weather is not a reason to cancel a tour except in the most extreme circumstances, we advise guests to dress comfortably and appropriately.
