Your experienced Wine Guide will pick you up at your hotel after you have enjoyed a leisurely breakfast.
We drive in our comfortable air-conditioned Tour Coach from Cape Town to the beautiful Stellenbosch Wine Region arriving at Simonsig Wine Estate. This is the first wine estate in South Africa to produce Method Cap Classique made in the classic bottle fermented style and we taste a selection of their MCC, Red, and White Wines.
Our journey continues from the Stellenbosch Wine Region to Wellington where we arrive at the Welbedacht Wine Estate home of the Springbok Rugby great, Schalk Burger Snr who will conduct an exclusive Cellar Tour for our group.
Following the Cellar Tour, Schalk Burger Snr will lead us on a Wine Tasting of the Welbedacht and Meerkat wine ranges accompanied by carefully prepared Cheese Platters from their beautifully restored Cape Dutch Style Guesthouse, The Bradgate Manor House. Enjoy the fine wine lovingly created by Schalk and his team while listening to the stories of rugby and wine over the ages.
From Welbedacht we travel to the Wine Emporium at the century-old KWV Cellar to sample some of the great pairings on offer. You have a choice between Pot Still Brandy & Belgium Chocolate, MCC & Basilei Confectionery, Cruxland Gin & Craft Tonic, and Premium Mentors Range Wines & Artisanal Pies.
After this great experience we travel back to Cape Town and return you to your hotel.
