Knysna Hollow Country Estate, is set on a secluded 3-hectare Country Estate just 5 minutes from the centre of Knysna, a quaint seaside town widely regarded as the jewel of the Garden Route.  Knysna Hollow re-opened in October 2018 as a brand-new contemporary country retreat offering stylish accommodation with warm personal service and authentic dining in our casual restaurant, Social Eatery.  Situated in the middle of the iconic Garden Route National Park of the Southern Cape Coast, Knysna is the ideal base from which to explore the myriad of attractions the region has to offer.

USB charging points are located at the dressing table and at each bedside table and LED accent lighting is a feature of the headboards above the king-size, extra-length beds. All rooms ioffer large en-suite bathrooms with double ‘His & Her’ vanities, heated towel rails, L’Occitane guest amenities and a spacious walk-in ‘rain’ shower

Wondering what to do in Knysna? Both Knysna and the Garden Route offer an amazing array of exciting activities and excursions and Knysna Hollow will gladly assist in making the arrangements for your memorable holiday moments. Knysna itself is situated in the heart of the Garden Route National Park, which stretches from Mossel Bay in the West to Tsitsikamma in the East, all easily accessible in a day’s outing in either direction. Beautiful salt-water estuaries and sandy Indian Ocean beaches frame one side of Knysna and the Garden Route while the other side consists of wild, indigenous forests and beautiful, rugged mountains known as the Outeniqua Mountain Range.

nysna is steeped in early Timber merchant history and no visit to Knysna is complete without a visit to the Millwood Gold Fields and the forest hikes of the Gouna area.  Knysna Town is home to the Knysna Waterfront, a marina-style development with local shops and eateries, while Thesen Islands offers contemporary dining and shopping. The Knysna Heads are an iconic attraction looming large over the notoriously-dangerous channel between the Indian Ocean and the Knysna Estuary – breathtakingly beautiful and with amazing vistas towards the ocean and Knysna itself from the various viewpoints at The Heads.

Plettenberg Bay is located 30km from Knysna and is a quaint beachside town that offers an eclectic mix of design shops, restaurants and local art & craft.  Plettenberg Bay is also famous for Robberg Nature Reserve, a spectacular cliffside hiking trail and numerous wine farms located in The Crags, near Nature’s Valley just outside town.

Oudtshoorn is a desert town located 1,5 hour’s drive from Knysna in the Little Karoo and is an excellent option for a fun-filled day trip that includes visiting an Ostrich Farm, the world-famous Cango Caves and some truly awe-inspiring mountain passes (Meiringspoort Pass, Price Alfred Pass etc.) that link up to charming villages such as De Rust and Prins Albert.
