The start time from Cape Town may be early as the Boat Captain will set the launch time the afternoon before depending on the tides as well as the weather conditions.
We drive over the beautiful Kogelberg Mountain range through the Apple and Pear production region of Elgin before dropping back down to sea level at the Whale Coast.
We follow the coastline to Gansbaai where we meet the crew at Dyer Island Cruises for the Marine Big Five Tour. After the required safety and information meeting you will board the custom designed boat for your whale viewing experience as well as the other amazing marine creatures.
When you return to shore there is a lovely cup of thick vegetable soup with bread rolls waiting you to settle your "sea legs". We depart after you have finished your light lunch for the drive back to Hermanus where we spend time on the Whale Walk located on the 30 meter high cliffs observing the gentle giants frolicking in the surf at the foot of the cliffs.
From Hermanus we follow the scenic and quite spectacular Clarens Drive around the Kogelberg Mountains back to Cape Town.
