Trip Summary

Our aim for the day is to explore the highlights of the Cape Peninsula. We’ll take every opportunity to get out onto the ocean to fully experience one of the most unique marine habitats in the world.

The first step for this adventure is to get our confidence levels up with some Stand Up Paddling in the safe waters of Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Next, we’ll head over to Kalk Bay to explore the working fishing harbour and meet the colourful and entertaining fishing folk. Browse the bohemian arty shops, take a short hike through the fairy-like Milkwood forests, and enjoy lunch.

We head to Simon’s Town to find our own rogue penguins on a secret beach only accessible to the locals. Snorkel around the boulders in rock pools the size of swimming pools, paddle our SUPs and get a very unique perspective of the penguins.

After visiting Cape Point we’ll venture deeper into the Peninsula to explore deserted wild beaches, and if conditions are right, put the SUPs on the water or dive amongst the kelp forests. Our return journey along the Atlantic side is a story of amazing views, hidden local cafes and watering holes full of character.
