Lokuthula – pronounced ‘Lock-oo-too-la’ – in the local siNdebele tongue means Place of Peace. An apt name for these well-appointed lodges set in tranquil, indigenous gardens where elephant roam and warthogs kneel to mow the lush lawns!

This luxurious self-catering timeshare resort consists of 37 rustic thatched lodges, a mere four kilometres from the spectacular World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls. Situated within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge resort estate, Lokuthula is surrounded by 80,000 hectares of unspoilt African bush and borders the unfenced Zambezi National Park. A nearby waterhole facilitates free passage of wildlife, including buffalo, elephant, hyaena and a variety of plains game, between the park and the lodges.

Facilities:
• The 31 Lokuthula Lodges offer exceptional value for money and are located in the grounds of The Victoria Falls Safari Estate. The lodges are split level in design and open fronted with drop down blinds affording magnificent views of unspoilt bushveld. A nearby waterhole attracts a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year including warthogs, bushbuck and many species of birdlife are often seen in the gardens surrounding the lodges.
• A three-tier swimming pool with paddle pool, children’s playground and volleyball court is located next to The Boma Café.
• The Boma Café which is located adjacent to the swimming pool area, is open from 07:00 to 16:30, and serves breakfast and light meals.
• Lokuthula Lodges are serviced daily, and all linen is provided.
• Residents’ lounge with satellite TV is situated above The Boma Bar.

There’s no better way to see the scale, magnificence and beauty of the Victoria Falls than from the air. But it’s not just the Falls that you’ll see from a different angle. 

Zambezi River Sunset Cruise:
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, the upmarket, luxury boat is designed for comfort and tranquility. There are two decks, complete with couches, chairs and coffee tables, and each has its own bar and staff for top quality service. There’s also free WIFI if you want to share your photos with your loved ones back home.

Game Drives:
There is no better way to explore the African bush than on a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle. We offer drives in the early morning and late afternoon, allowing you to choose to do this activity when it best suits your itinerary. As well as numerous bird species, wildlife that may be seen on the game drive, taken through Zambezi National Park, includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and other antelope.

White Water Rafting:
Arguably the wildest white water in the world, rafting the mighty Zambezi River is the ultimate adrenaline rush. The Zambezi rapids are officially defined as Grade 5 (Grade 6 being commercially un-runnable). The rafting experience begins at 7am when you are collected from your hotel. Save some energy for the steep walk out of the gorge at the end of an action-packed morning, where an ice cold coke or beer and a well-earned lunch awaits you.

Adrenaline Highwire:
Be daring and test your limits with the high wire activities from the ‘Look-Out’, set on the spectacular cliffs of the Batoka Gorge, just 300m from the Victoria Falls. Experience a collection of mind-blowing extreme adrenaline activities – the gorge swing, zip line, flying fox, as well as a canopy tour, which is suitable for families and children from the age of six years.
