Spend 3 night at The a’Zambezi River Lodge is, as its name indicates, on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. It is one of a handful of lodges in the Victoria Falls region that is situated on the banks of the Zambezi, one of Africa’s giant rivers.

The Lodge with its traditional thatch architecture, is just 5 km from the famous Victoria Falls. The shuttle departing from the a’Zambezi Lodge makes frequent visits to this natural wonder in Zimbabwe possible, so you will be able to see and do everything the Victoria Falls has to offer.

At the a’Zambezi River Lodge, guests have a choice of 83 comfortable, air-conditioned en suite rooms. Rooms are graded as being double, twin, family, triple and de luxe. The Amulonga Restaurant:
This open-air restaurant is an award-winning restaurant with a wrap around deck a stone’s throw away from the Zambezi River. It seats 120 diners and offers a unique dining experience combining modern and African cuisines, impeccable hospitality and traditional entertainment performance during dinner.

Zambezi Bar
This Zimbabwean styled rondavel bar is the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring the Victoria Falls area and the perfect prelude to dinner in the Amulonga restaurant.

Guided Tour of the Falls:
A knowledgeable guide will take you on an unforgettable experience through the Victoria Falls rain forest, a journey which affords a view of one he the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Flight of the Angels:
There’s no better way to see the scale, magnificence and beauty of the Victoria Falls than from the air. But it’s not just the Falls that you’ll see from a different angle. 

Zambezi River Sunset Cruise:
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, the upmarket, luxury boat is designed for comfort and tranquility. There are two decks, complete with couches, chairs and coffee tables, and each has its own bar and staff for top quality service. There’s also free WIFI if you want to share your photos with your loved ones back home.

Game Drives:
There is no better way to explore the African bush than on a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle. We offer drives in the early morning and late afternoon, allowing you to choose to do this activity when it best suits your itinerary. As well as numerous bird species, wildlife that may be seen on the game drive, taken through Zambezi National Park, includes elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and other antelope.

White Water Rafting:
Arguably the wildest white water in the world, rafting the mighty Zambezi River is the ultimate adrenaline rush. The Zambezi rapids are officially defined as Grade 5 (Grade 6 being commercially un-runnable). The rafting experience begins at 7am when you are collected from your hotel. Save some energy for the steep walk out of the gorge at the end of an action-packed morning, where an ice cold coke or beer and a well-earned lunch awaits you.

Adrenaline Highwire:
Be daring and test your limits with the high wire activities from the ‘Look-Out’, set on the spectacular cliffs of the Batoka Gorge, just 300m from the Victoria Falls. Experience a collection of mind-blowing extreme adrenaline activities – the gorge swing, zip line, flying fox, as well as a canopy tour, which is suitable for families and children from the age of six years.
