A perfect, personalised introduction to Melbourne with plenty of time to dig beneath the surface and ‘meet the makers’.
Go behind the scenes and beyond the tourist trail to experience Melbourne in a way most locals never get to. This extended experience lets you delve deeper and go further into local life and creative culture. Meet Melburnians, soak in the passion, coast through all the cool neighbourhoods. Have a grand old day with a fab. host in a great city doing all the things you love.

Suggested but highly flexible itinerary:
Be picked up from your hotel or be met at the airport and hit the ground running - this is an excellent ‘day one’ experience. Take to the backstreets for a coffee somewhere local and share a few interests with your host to make the experience personal.
Discover Melbourne’s passionate entrepreneurs at the heart of the city’s local ‘laneway culture’. Leaf through old books and maps, jazz records or vintage clothing.
Sample local treats and native flavours. Hear the tales of a strange, off-beat city of radicals, prospectors and adventurers who all wound up together in this far-flung corner of the world.
Head to Melbourne’s former working-class heart, where punks and gangsters once reigned. Visit micro-factories, studios and warehouses powering Melbourne’s creative economy.
Learn about green coffee bean selection or how to temper chocolate, visit street art galleries and local milliners, admire the craftsmanship, knowledge and passion that have become the calling cards of ‘Made in Melbourne’.
Enjoy a quick lunch at a neighbourhood café or slow down over first-rate fine dining. Get to know your host better, discuss local culture and how best to spend your time in Melbourne.
In the afternoon, the experience is tailored specifically to you – explore the culture or sporting precincts, leafy bay-side suburbs, riverfront gardens, galleries or local markets.
Your Localing host will have you back at your hotel by 4 pm (start and finish times can be varied to suit your needs).
