On the private Johannesburg, Soweto and Pretoria tour you will spend full day learning more about these two important cities and how they are all so integral to the shaping of the Rainbow Nation.
We first visit Pretoria, informally known as the Jacaranda City, for its beautiful purple lined streets when the Jacaranda are in full bloom, Highlights: Victoria Hotel, Bosman Station, City Hall, Transvaal Museum, Paul Kruger House, Church Square, Reserve Bank, State Theatre, Union Buildings, Embassies, University of Pretoria, Hatfield and Sunnyside.
We then head to the city of Johannesburg, taking in the highlights including the Westcliff view, Mandela Bridge, Newtown, Top of Africa and a Muti Shop. We also visit Constitutional Hill for a background into the strides the new South Africa has made in its short democracy, including tour of the Jail, Court and Old Fort.
After lunch (own account) we head to South Western Township ( Soweto) and view the upmarket suburb of Diepkloof, various Hostels that housed immigrant labour from the traditional homelands, world famous Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, the hugely successful Maponya Mall, Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, explore the Shanty Houses, Regina Mundi Church, Elephant Tusk Houses, Hector Peterson Monument, Mandela House (own account) in Vilakazi Street.
The tour is concluded with drive pass Orlando Stadium and FNB Stadium.
