A day of contrasts, from surf to cellar. Start with a surf session in Muizenberg, embracing the ocean and the thrill of the waves. Then shift gears for an indulgent afternoon exploring the historic Constantia Valley, with curated tastings at top wine estates. This is coastal adventure meets wine country elegance, perfect for those who like to start active and end in style.

Start your day with a dose of Muizenberg’s laid-back energy and the aroma of some of the best coffee on the False Bay coast. From there, step into the world of WAWA Surfboards, where beautifully handcrafted wooden surfboards bring the spirit of ancient Hawaiian board builders to life. Learn about the artistry and philosophy behind wave sliding on wood, a story rooted in tradition and innovation.
Then it's time to hit the waves. With wetsuits on and boards at the ready, enjoy a guided surf lesson in one of South Africa’s most iconic and beginner-friendly surf spots. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, your Adventure Guide will help you build confidence and have fun in the water. By the end of the morning, you’ll be paddling out like a local.
From coast to vineyard, your next stop is the Constantia wine region, just a short drive from Muizenberg but worlds away in pace and setting.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Bistro1682 on the historic Steenberg Estate, where innovative cuisine is paired with signature wines and views over manicured gardens. After lunch, settle in for a wine tasting at one of Steenberg’s inviting spaces, whether at the Tasting Lounge, Wine Bar, or shaded Outdoor Terrace. Each setting offers a chance to savour award-winning wines with views stretching toward Cape Town’s distant skyline.
As the afternoon continues, wind your way up to Beau Constantia, a boutique winery perched high on the Constantia mountains. Here, the wines are handcrafted with precision, and the panoramic views over the valley are simply unforgettable. Enjoy a tasting of their bold, expressive wines as the late-afternoon light settles over the vineyards.
