Get off the beaten track with an adrenaline-fueled activity sandboarding and ziplining followed by exploring this beautiful region with its abundance of hiking trails, expansive coastline with pristine beaches and rich fauna and flora.
Today is an exciting excursion out in the Overberg exploring the sand dunes in Bettys Bay. The Sand Dune in Betty`s Bay is considered amongst sandboarding professionals as one of the best dunes in Africa. With spectacular views from the dune its hard not to feel like you in another world. The Dune has an estimated height of 230 Meters and makes for an impressive run down hill. Rest assured we do how ever not start with you at the top but rather gradually work up the dune as your experience improves.
After an active morning, we will then head to Stony Point in Betty’s Bay we visit a massive penguin colony, watching the amusing antics of these funny creatures. On this stretch of rocky terrain, we will also be looking out for Dassies (rock rabbits) and a number of seabirds.
For lunch we will stop at one of the lovely local restaurants in Hermanus. The Pear Tree restaurant has a reputation for relaxation with the emphasis on fresh and inventive food of an exceptionally high standard.
Next, we enjoy an exciting excursion out in the Overberg with ziplining through the trees and canyons near Hermanus in the Hemel-en-Aaarde Valley. This adventure is ideal for families, nature lovers, thrill seekers or anyone looking for a fun day in the sun. You will experience a whole new view of your surroundings as you glide through the air, suspended by a harness clipped onto a stainless steel cable. A waterfall appears below you and birds fly amongst you, so remember to take the time to appreciate the beauty of the Overberg Mountains as you fly through the air!
