Start your day with a scenic helicopter flight from Cape Town to Stellenbosch. Soar over rugged mountain ranges and rolling vineyards before touching down in the heart of the Cape Winelands, an unforgettable arrival to a day of exploration.
Begin at the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, a serene outdoor gallery where art, nature, and the human form blend in wild harmony. Wander the winding paths with your guide and discover over 60 monumental sculptures carefully placed in the landscape’s natural rhythm.
Next, journey into Stellenbosch’s historic heart, beginning with Dorp Street, one of the longest stretches of preserved heritage buildings in Southern Africa. Oozing old-world charm, the street is lined with Cape Dutch architecture, cosy cafés, boutique galleries, and artisan shops. Take your time exploring this vibrant and characterful town on foot.
From town to terroir, we continue to Muratie Wine Estate, where every glass tells a story. One of the region’s oldest wineries, Muratie offers a raw, rustic wine tasting experience steeped in history, with cobwebs and all.
Time allowing, round off the day with a gentle stroll through the iconic Babylonstoren Gardens. This working Cape Dutch farm is a living storybook of edible gardens, heritage structures, and organic beauty, steeped in history dating back to 1692.
Your African Adventure Guide will shape the flow of the day around your interests, whether that means more time among the vines, diving deeper into the art, or café-hopping through Stellenbosch’s hidden gems.
