Step through garden gates into the light-filled studio of Lucie de Moyencourt, whose globally collected ceramic shells have become modern heirlooms of the Cape.

Shellegance Crafternoon is an all-ages intimate studio session where guests gather to paint shells & create beaded necklaces in Lucie de Moyencourt’s beautiful studio within a lush garden property. Designed as a slow, creative escape, this experience blends artistry, elegance, & indulgence.

Guests are invited to select a shell form and, under Lucie’s guidance, paint their own ceramic piece. Each piece is kiln-fired onsite in Lucie’s studio, after the experience.

Where timing allows, completed works may be delivered to the Mount Nelson during your stay, or carefully packaged & shipped worldwide.

For those wishing to explore further, an optional shell-beading session offers the opportunity to craft your own Shellegance jewellery.
