Trip Summary

The aim of the day is to explore the highlights of Cape Town in a family fun oriented way, beginning by Hiking Lion’s Head hunting for Dassies we will then head towards Cape Point stopping on route to explore. In the peninsula reserve we’ll be on the hunt for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bonta Buck and Tortoise) before returning along the Atlantic Seaboard.

The aim of the day is to explore the highlights of Cape Town in a family fun oriented way, beginning by Hiking Lion’s Head, situated slap bang in the middle of the city, we will enjoy the stunning 360 degree views while hunting for Dassies.

We then head to Kalk bay to explore the working fishing harbour, meet the seals and have a go at throwing a fishing line over the harbour wall. We will do a short hike exploring the ‘pixie and fairy’ Milkwood forest and enjoy lunch.

We head to Simon’s Town where we will find our own rogue Penguins on a secret beach only accessible to the locals. If brave we’ll snorkel in swimming pool sized rock pools, paddle our SUP’s and get a unique perspective of the Penguins.

In the peninsula reserve we’ll be on the hunt for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bonta Buck and Tortoise), whilst we’ll visit Cape Point we will also spend our time exploring the beaches and ship wrecks for lost treasure.

We will visit Cape Point Vineyards, with the best Atlantic sunset views anywhere in South Africa, before returning to base.
